THE SATCHMO' SUITE
This hot jazz musical brings Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong to life. Through a powerful original jazz score, a live three-piece orchestra, and a story that captures your heart, director Hans Böggild brings us a dynamic theatrical relationship between a modern-day classical cellist and the Father of Jazz himself. When the cellist is asked to fill in for the orchestra’s soloist who has taken ill, he is flooded with self-doubt. Within mere hours of the performance, he conjures the spirit of Louis Armstrong to help him work through the issues hindering his bow.
When: February 6th to 16th, 2008. (no performance February 11th)
