USE WEBFORMS TO GAIN CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
Source: Kerr Adamson

Whether your business is  operating an online storefront or a traditional brick-and-mortar operation it's essential to receive feedback from customers as it is to our customers that our products or services are sold.  Failing to meet the expectations of customers can lead to ultimate failure but responding in a timely manner to customer expectations can result in a thriving business.

Responding quickly to customer expectations or demands may in fact lead to entirely new business opportunities which would never have been identified without feedback from the customer.

One of the best ways to get feedback from customers is by using web forms. Almost everyone nowadays has internet access. It's quick and simple for your customers to fill out an online form and leave their feedback.

With good customer feedback your company or business can gain a competitive advantage. By understanding and responding to customer's needs your organization can be well positioned to take advantage of opportunities in the market and grow.  A well designed web form can not only provide your customers with a direct line to you but can be a valuable asset to both customer elations and the bottom line.

Need a webform for your web site? Contact Innovation Networks today at 604-275-5100 and talk to our form specialist.

From the Tech Bench - Buying a Digital Camera?
Work the Controls Before Buying

Comparing digital cameras to buy? Familiarize yourself with the controls before making a decision.

Buying a new digital camera that has more "bells and whistles" than you need or more options than the camera you currently own could cause a lot of headache.
Familiarizing yourself with the controls of different digital camera models as you compare which one to buy will help you make a decision and get you up and shooting with your new camera in no time.

Although control placement obviously should not be the only consideration when comparing digital camera models, it's worth considering a camera that complements your work style and feels good to operate.

LETS RECYCLE THOSE CHRISTMAS TREES
With the New Year and the Christmas holiday behind us it's time for those of us that chose to put up a real Christmas tree to think about what to do with it now that we're done. Here's an excellent suggestion from the Recycling Council of BC:

CHRISTMAS TREE CHIPPING
Many cities and municipalities around B.C. offer "Tree Chipping" services for a short period of time after the holidays. Many require a small donation or fee to chip your tree with all the proceeds going to help local charities or organizations within your area. For a list of cities and municipalities within your area that are offering this service visit the RCBC website.

B.C.'s Waste-o-Meter is Ticking!
The Waste-O-Meter is a gauge that shows how much waste goes into BC’s landfills through the Municipal Solid Waste System. You can check out the Waste-o-Meter at the Recycling Council of British Columbia web site and watch how fast it grows.

POWER TIP - WINDOWS VISTA - SPEED UP START MENU SEARCH :
When you perform a search using the search box in the start panel, Windows Vista automatically searches the file index as well. The file index can be quite large because it includes all the files on your hard drive. One way to speed-up searching in your Start Menu applications is to narrow the scope of the search so that it does not include files on the hard drive. Here's how to do it:

1. Right-click on the Start Button and select Properties.
2. Click on the Customize button.
3. Uncheck Search Communications.
4. Set Search Files to Don't Search for files.
5. Click OK.

POWER TIPS - MS WORD - TURN OFF AUTO-HYPERLINK:
Go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options and select the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Under Replace As You Type, deselect the Internet And Network Paths With Hyperlinks check box and click OK.

POWER TIPS - MS WORD - TURNING OFF AUTO-QUOTES:
Go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options and click the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Deselect the Straight Quotes With Smart Quotes check box and click OK.
